Warren Goldie

Head Coach/Offensive Coordinator

In his nearly 3 decades of coaching experience, Goldie has experience coaching in most levels of football. He spent nearly a decade at Queen’s University coaching QBs and Receivers and 3 years as the Offensive Coordinator. In the 2000s, the Gaels went from a 2-win program to National Champions. More recently, he was at StFX University as the Offensive Coordinator for 2 seasons where they won the Conference Championship. Throughout these times, Goldie has coached numerous athletes that went onto professional careers. Part of the last 10 years has included more specific coaching of quarterbacks with his QBMAD program. Starting out as an on-field program focused on mechanics, he has expanded the program to online sessions for a more comprehensive process for readying QBs. The program has recently expanded outside of Canada with new members on both sides of the border and coaches and players in Europe.

Taylor Eskins

Defensive Coordinator

Taylor brings over 10 years of coaching experience to the Skyhawks. Across three of the major Ontario football leagues: OVFL, OFC, LOSSA; Taylor has seen great success as a Coach. Most recently with the Scarborough Thunder, Coach Eskins helped earn his team back to back Championships while consistently leading the league in all major defensive statistical categories.

As a player he competed with the Ajax-Pickering Dolphins, Pickering High Trojans and finished his playing career with the University of Toronto Varsity Blues.  Taylor looks forward to leading the Skyhawks Defense in its inaugural season.

Rick Thompson

Defensive Line Coach

 Rick is a High School teacher at Norwood District High School. He has been coaching High School and Peterborough Wolverines football for over 20 seasons.  Rick has been a part of numerous championship teams, winning the OFC Junior Varsity Championship in 2017 as the DC. The Wolverines were the first team from the North Division to ever win the Championship in the history of the OFC. Rick has also found success coaching football at Norwood District High School winning back-to-back Eastern Ontario Championships twice since 2014.

Rick is a lifelong learner who enjoys attending and hosts football coaching clinics. He has attended University of Michigan, Notre Dame, Ohio State and Clemson clinics as well as guest coaching at Carleton Ravens training camp. Rick truly believes there is always more to learn. Coach Rick’s passion is to ensure players get the best from their coaches. Demanding the best of our players means demanding the best of ourselves.

Dylan Bell

Defensive Backs Coach

Coach Bell started his playing days in the Brockville Youth Football Association when he was 6 years old.  From there he spent 4 years at Brockville Collegiate institute playing football, basketball, and baseball.

While in High School he played OVFL with the former Kingston Grenadiers (currently known as Jr Gaels). Dylan’s playing career continued at St. Francis Xavier University where he was a captain and starter for 4 years. During his time as a Defensive Back with the X-Men He played in 3 Uteck/Mitchell Bowls and  earned multiple awards and recognitions, including the Don Loney Team M.V.P., Conference All-Star and Leadership of Distinction Honours.

Coach Bell started coaching when he was in High School with the Brockville Youth Football Association and the Rideau Youth Football League. In 2015-2016 Coach Bell was the DB Coach for the Varsity Grenadiers and took the team to the Championship game. Following his playing days in University he helped out with the Defensive Backs at St. FX as a graduate assistant.

Dylan is known for his Knowledge of the game and his ability to pass it on to others. He believes that football can be used to teach Discipline, hard work, accountability, and teamwork.
